About Us

The Bead Trail was established by Rebecca Webster in 2004, shortly after a visit to a bead shop in Hereford where she purchased a substantial amount of sparkling lovelies and a reel of elastic and with her three children spent a sunny afternoon in the garden stringing beads. Whilst in the bead shop she noticed a beaded ornament hanging from the ceiling and was intrigued, what was this craft with tiny beads and crystals she had never seen or heard about before?

Once home she joined The Beadworker's Guild and was sent a free pattern and some beads to start her new hobby. Now as you will know, starting a project is always a little tricky but as a complete beginner she knew nothing about nymo and very soon ended up with a mountain of knots and worse still mounting anger and frustration!

However, not to be beaten she persevered and on the 8th attempt it started to take shape, her first spiral rope was born.

The rest, as they say, is history..........



Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, choose the items you require and at the end of the page click the add to cart button, all items chosen will be added to your basket. When you have finished shopping click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card and debit card payment using the secure Paypal system.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, or an item is out of stock, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable or offer an alternative.

Shipping And Handling
We ship by royal mail first class post within the UK and International Standard to European countries. All orders over the value of £25 will be shipped free of charge within the UK.
Delivery Schedule
We aim to despatch your parcel wtihin 24 hours or receiving your order, an email will be sent confirming that your parcel has been sent, however please allow adequate time for The Royal Mail to deliver.
Back Orders
We are not currently offering back orders, if an item is out of stock you will be emailed and offered an alternative product or a refund for the out of stock item.
Credit Card Security
Payment is taken through the Paypal system and no card details are kept by The Bead Trail.
Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase please email sales@thebeadtrail.co.uk to arrange a refund or replacement.

We will use the personal information you supply to us in the course of submitting an order for the purpose of fulfilling that order.

WHAT DATA DO WE HOLD?
We hold the personal data that you supplied in the course of placing your order or enquiry.
The data normally consists of: product information, transactional information, fraud checking information, name, address, phone number, email, special delivery instructions, answers from questions in your checkout and potentially other information to ensure the successful completion of your order.
We may hold notes of our communication with you through different channels including, but not limited to: email, live chat, CRM (Customer Relationship Management system) and phone.
We will not seek personal information from you relating to race, religion, political affiliation, trade union membership, sexual orientation, medical or genetic history and we ask you not to provide such information to us under any circumstances.

HOW WE HOLD YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We will retain the personal information you supply to us in the course of submitting an order or an enquiry, for the purpose of fulfilling that order, responding to or processing that enquiry.
If you place an order, we will retain an electronic copy of your invoice data for the period required by HMRC, after which we will delete it.

Whether held by us on our hardware, or on our behalf by a third party, it will be kept secure and protected from unauthorised access using all reasonable means.

Returns Policy Should an item not be as expected please return within 14 days of ordering, items must be returned in their original packaging and not part used. We cannot refund items that have been damaged in transit so please ensure you return in suitable packaging and that you receive a proof of posting.
